1/1/2011 - New plan

Alright guys, heres the deal.

We are inactive. we just are, its not the holidays, and its no ones fault, we just are to diverse. in the past i tried choosing one game and getting people to join in, but that was a fail due to location and hardware issues. I now see that if you want everything, you end up with nothing.

Now we need to do something. before you read on, just remember that none of this is set in stone yet, so just an FYI.

right now i have two plans.

1 -

I strip the clan of events, mods, dead topics,meetings, and stop recruiting. The forums become a simple place where we meet and just chat with people we know. we will still accept new people, if you know someone that wishes to join

2 -

A brand new forums. it wont be a "clan" it will be more a guild forums. we pick one game (an mmo) and stick to it. everything will be reworked to revolve around this guild and mmo. all stories/art/other stuff will need to be paid for with honor, and have to be active within the group. the group pass will only be good for a set period of time, when you will need to buy another. a lot of things will cost honor in plan two, to enforce activity. Pvp and other events will have bets to them. if someone can not play and are in the clan now, then i'am sorry, you are welcome to stay and stay connected to us,but i cannot help you further then that. for MMO ideas, i have roots in dungeon fighter/vindictus/maplestory. there are many others though.


These two are just ideas. if you want to add on or tell me something else, go for it! all ears.

Last note, after Monday all topics will be closed. they will not reopen until the plan is thought of and done, and after being judged if they are dead or not. So yes, this will be the only topic you will be able to post in after Monday.

I at least want an idea of what we are going to do by next meeting.

Woah. Thats all there is to it. Woah. Personally, I'm iffy about plan 2, what if the game is DFO? Then only Canadians and Americans can play. No Aussies, No Tholo, Azk, Zev, Blob (i think?). If vidictus is the game, yeah, I'll get it. Plan 1 seems a bit lifeless though, but could work. I'm heading towards plan 3. Two forums? A plan 2 forum and a plan 1 forum, where the new recruits never discover the other clan. Like, only current members actually know there are two. It would work because plan 1 needs no management :P

At least the clan is warming up again (with this announcement it can't not.) Hoorah for decisive action.

yeah i dont want to do plan one either, but it is a choice.

The game i have no idea. i'v been playing vindictus way more then any other game, its nice.

if we all agree on plan two or have another plan, then we need an MMO. no need for two forums, if you cant play but were part of the clan, you are still a part of it, kinda like honorary members

We'll still have the forum Billeh, so you might not have to :P But, back it up just in case :/ But yah, agreed. We don't really have any better ideas do we?

I think that plan 1 should be a last resort, and I don't have any ideas about a new game. >_>

Building upon that. You should not be rewarded honor for posting in the forums like stories/art/etc. You should only be awarded honor by posting in clan-realted topics.

What about the members who are unable to play the clan's game? It would sort of be difficult for them to post in strictly clan related topics.

Agreed aegis, though to go with what kate said, i think certain areas such as ones you need passes to get into and the "forum games" should not count. even if you dont play the game, you can still talk on how to improve the clan page.

i also think we can make certain posts not count in post count, no? i shall look this up some moar

I have another idea, as we will all be founders, maybe we should all have some sort of benefit, say, mod-powahs or full-access passes, with no expiry date? Just a thought. I certainly don't want to end up as some new guys subordinate, I've been here since AQWK! Sure I took a break but don't tell anyone :P

I just read Zev's first post :P Actually, we still have the Legion forums, so if we go through with plan 2, you could still go there to stay in contact. Though, I feel that would only be a fall back issue. And also, if we can't play the game during plan 2, but we would still like to post things like stories or art, how do we earn the honor to buy these passports if we can't participate in events and threads pertaining to the game?

Only people who have power in the new game will have power on the forums.

As for people who cant play, you can still post in threads relating to the forums themselves, and how to improve them.

I would rather keep only one set of forums, we arent big enough for two, yet.

Like I said before, if we want plan two then some people will be left out, its the only way. Course ill give you a title and some honor so start with, and the passes wont cost to much, so you should be able to get enough in a months time.

Well, I guess plan 2 sounds like a less radical idea...

The only problem I can forsee with that is if you pick a game that not everyone can play, then we'll be excluding some members like Zev, Azk, Drac, Thol, and any other person that I didn't mention. If we do pick a single game to revolve around, I think it should be something that everyone can get into.

Also, as a writer, I oppose the idea to pay honor to write stories. Just sayin'.

As for the MMO, I'm kinda hoping its one that isn't a downloaded one or has a rly small download size.

Other than that, I don't disagree with any points above... Except the fact that Ryi was the one making the points lulz jk
P.S. Figures that you'd lock the stories right after I just had a great idea for my story... after almost 2 months... had a serious case of laziness, I mean writer's block.

Problem is, if it's a next gen game, like Vindictus, then I know I won't be able to play it :/ But, otherwise, it sounds fine to me. Until I get access to a better computer though, I won't be having much luck with the games :(

Main problems for me-I don't want to download it and I will get lag in almost any game and guaranteed in a next-gen one.

Well, for low-download (something like 700mb, or 7gb cant remember) there are Aerya or however you spell it games, I was palying wolf team this morning which is 650mb, and all the games are roughly ther same size. I'm guessing huge games like LOTRO and DDO are probably off limits, and just for the record, Vindictus is 1.83-2.05gb downlaod size.

im down for vindictus what sever though? west or east. if its westi gota reset my char D: but i will be down for it

Yes vindictus is at least a gig or two, but to be honest thats not much for a game like that.

also i think east if we went with it, yop.

Next meeting is this Saturday at 7PM EST. we will decide on our plans at this meeting. if it fails, then we move the meeting time to 12AM EST.
